Littora is a fast acting, non-selective herbicide which provides control of nuisance aquatic weeds and exotic plants. The active ingredient in Littora, diquat dibromide, is absorbed into the plant cells and interferes with photosynthesis. This mode of action provides control of floating and emergent vegetation, such as water hyacinth and duckweed, in less than 5 days and control of submersed plants, such as sago pondweed and curly-leaf pondweed, within 15 days. Littora can be applied in lakes, rivers, ponds, crop and non-crop irrigation systems, fish and ornamental ponds and in various aquaculture settings.
